Hi, I'm Alyssa! I started my career at Corewell Health as an Onboarding Coordinator in the Welcome Center, where I had the opportunity to welcome new team members as they prepared to start their career with the organization. Now, as a Recruiting Coordinator for Corewell Health's East Rapid Hire team, my focus is on Environmental Service, Nutrition Services, and Patient Transport opportunities. I'm passionate about creating a positive candidate experience and enjoy being part of each candidate's career journey. Can you share a moment when you felt proud of the work you do?
One moment that really made me proud of the work I do was at a hiring event for Corewell Health. A candidate came in looking for a full-time Environmental Services opportunity, and I was able to help guide her through the application process and answer any questions along the way. She ultimately received an offer, and before she left, stopped me to tell me how excited and grateful she was for the opportunity. What stuck with me most was when she said she planned to retire from Corewell Health someday. Knowing I played a small part in helping someone find a career where they felt that hopeful and confident was incredibly rewarding and reminded me why I love what I do.

What makes working here feel special to you?
What makes working at Corewell Health feel special to me is knowing that I have the opportunity to make a difference in each candidate's experience. I enjoy creating a welcoming and positive environment, especially at hiring events where candidates are often excited, and sometimes nervous, about exploring a new opportunity with the organization. Being able to support, encourage, and guide people as they take the next, or very first, step in their careers makes the work I do feel meaningful every day.
What's your favorite season?
Summer is definitely my favorite season! I enjoy soaking up the sunshine, spending time outside, and taking my dogs for walks. I also love the extra daylight during the summer months.
