Hello! My name is Josue Garcia, and I’m a Senior Recruiter supporting the Corewell Health Allied Health team. With experience in full-cycle recruiting, project management, and team leadership, I partner closely with hiring leaders to deliver a collaborative and positive hiring experience. I’m passionate about building strong relationships, aligning talent with organizational values, and supporting meaningful partnerships with non-profits while staying actively engaged in my community. What part of your work makes you feel like you're making a difference?
In my role, I have the opportunity to meet candidates at different stages of their careers some are just beginning their journeys and others ready for a new challenge. At Corewell Health, there are so many opportunities for growth, and I feel I make the greatest difference when I can support that progression. Seeing candidates grow, whether by hiring them into their first role or later helping them advance within the organization, is incredibly rewarding and meaningful to me.

What surprised you when you first started at Corewell Health?
What surprised me most when I first started at Corewell Health was just how large the organization is. With over 64,000 team members, thousands of physicians and nurses, 21 hospitals, and more than 300 outpatient sites, it was eye‑opening to see how much goes into delivering great patient care. Even with that size, it still feels very connected, and it’s clear how every team and role plays an important part in supporting our patients and communities.
Favorite way to recharge outside of work?
My favorite way to recharge outside of work is putting on a good playlist, finding a great trail, and heading out for a walk with my dog especially along the West Michigan lakeshore. There’s something about being outside by the water that helps me clear my head, reset, and recharge!
