Hello, my name is Sammie! I am a Recruiting Coordinator for the nursing team at Corewell Health. I began my career with the organization as a Nurse Technician in an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics office. Since transitioning into my current role, I have developed a strong passion for connecting with new hires and supporting them through the onboarding process. It is incredibly rewarding to play even a small part in someone’s journey as they begin their career, and I take great pride in helping ensure a positive and welcoming start at Corewell Health.

What is your favorite Corewell Health event?
One of my favorite types of events I’ve attended since starting in this role has been the various hiring events. They provide a great opportunity to get out into the community, connect with students and potential candidates, and share what we do. I really enjoy the face-to -face interactions and being able to come together as a team to help others explore new opportunities within Corewell Health.  

What keeps you excited about staying at Corewell Health?

It is so rewarding to be part of an organization like Corewell Health, where opportunities for professional growth are available across all career paths, with so many resources at hand. The collaborative environment of the team makes a huge difference in the day-to-day experience. The people here truly set this organization apart. I will always speak highly of all of my colleagues who contribute to such a positive and supportive workplace.

Coffee or tea? 
Coffee all the way! Although I do not drink coffee every day, I do enjoy making coffee at home or grabbing a coffee while on the go during a busy day.
