Q&A with Scott
What part of your work makes you feel like you're making a difference?
I feel I'm making the biggest difference when I help people land roles they're genuinely excited about. Sometimes candidates just need someone to listen and believe in their potential. Sharing in the emiotion of offering someone a new opportunity is one of the most rewarding parts of our job.
What makes working here feel special to you?
The people are what makes this place special to me. I'm fortunate to work with an incredible team, supportive peers and leaders who truly care. When you enjoy working alongside your people, it shows in the work you do.
Favorite way to recharge outside of work?
My favorite way to recharge outside of work is getting lost in great storytelling in movies and some TV shows. I love kicking off team meetings by asking what everyone watched over the weekend. I'm especially a fan of Marvel and Star Wars, a true nerd. The appreciation for Star Wars is a shared sentiment though - look at the pic to the side! The Great Lakes Garrison (Michigan's The 501st Legion) hit their 100th visit at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in their complete Star Wars attire.
