Hi, I’m Laura! I started my career here as a Labor & Delivery RN, where I spent several years caring for patients before transitioning into nursing recruitment. That clinical background fuels my passion for helping RNs and new graduates navigate their career paths with confidence and clarity. Having been in their shoes, I understand the realities of nursing and how the profession has evolved over time. I love sharing my knowledge, building genuine connections, and helping nurses find the right fit for where they want to grow. Seeing the excitement on a new team member’s face when they step into a role that feels right is what energizes me most—and it’s why I truly love what I do.
Q&A
What part of your work makes you feel like you're making a difference?
What makes my work truly meaningful is knowing that I have the opportunity to make a difference every single day. As a recruiter, I’m proud to partner closely with hiring leaders to build strong, compassionate teams and create work environments where people feel supported and inspired. I stay grounded in our mission, vision, and values, because I believe who we bring into our organization matters. When we hire the right people, the impact reaches far beyond a single role—it’s felt by our patients, their families, and our teammates.
What is your favorite Corewell Health Event?
Being involved in Healthy Pride, one of Corewell Health’s Business Resource Groups, has been a meaningful part of my experience here. Through Healthy Pride, I’ve been able to connect with colleagues and the public in a more personal way, support inclusion, and contribute to a space where people feel seen and supported beyond their roles. It’s been rewarding to be part of a group that not only builds community, but also strengthens our culture by encouraging authenticity, connection, and shared growth. We get to connect with the community on a more personal level every year at Pride. If you look to the side, you'll see me at one of the recent Pride festivals!
